It possible to perform a loop counter in access and let it generate a new field for every result? say for example i have a date 11/21/1999 and i want it to add 365 days for every results generated i.e i want to obtain 11/21/2000, 11/21/2001, 11/21/2002 and so on. till a certain date. how can i do that in access. i know you can do it manually by creating a new query field setting the parameters as say newdate:[olddate]+365 that will do the first one. but i want it to continue the loop for every 365 days.

I've been trying for 2 weeks to get LCS 5 to install. The install portions that are done on the domain server complete with no errors. Then, when I go to the server where LCS 5 is installed and click on Install Files for Standard Edition Server, the install progresses for a minute or so, then returns the error message: Error: 27763: Failed to open existing Live Communications Server database. I cannot find anything on this error message number on the Microsoft site. I've completely removed LCS 5 from both the domain server and the LCS server and reinstalled again. Both installs complete with no errors on the domain controller and stop at the same place when installing the files on the LCS server. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix this error? Running Windows Server 2003 R2 latest SP. Running SQL Server 2005 latest SP.

BASICALLY, THE NEED IS TO SHOW THE NET POSITIONS ON THE TRANSACTIONS MADE ON THE STOCK. I have a report with a Date field and a lable. Its a target date. I want the lable to turn red if the Target date is less than today's date. I have the following code as an "On Format" event on the detail section of the report: If ProjectEndDate < Today() Then lbl_Target_End.ForeColor = vbRed End If It doesn't do anything... I'm not sure of the ".ForeColor" nor am I sure if I can use a color number such as 255. I saw code similar to this in another post. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

MY code from help on ee is Undefined funtion "format" in expression. I have a database that I am trying to limit the number of people that can actually edit the data.  Essentially, I would like to give 3-4 people on the network full access to the database, and the rest of the people Read Only.  I tried dointg the /ro in the short cut, but my the people were still able to edit the data.   WHat i was hoping to do was create an If Then statment like the following that would implement when the database opened.   Essentially something like this: If Environ ("Username") = "tom" or "chris" or "mike" Then       'Give full access Else      'Give ReadONly Access EndIf Is there a way to do this?  I really don't want to go through the Security Wizard as it is very cumbersome.

I am new to ms sql server and I have a client whose host oniy has ms sql server 2000 but I have a copy of ms sql 2008. so I would like to know if there any confict with haveing both on the same machine? Also if I i have 2008 could I some way work on databases that are for 2000. If I could I would like to get  by without haveing to buy both 2000 and 2008. Brian.

I have a vb6 application that I am converting to .net 2008 manually.  One screen has a true db grid that has 40 columns, the columns are split into different lines in each row so that all columns can be viewed at once.  Currently each row has three lines worth of columns.  When I view the .NET 2008 datagridview I do not see any multiline property nor can I find anything on the web describing how to display multiple lines in a grid row.  I see multi-line cells, but not multi-line rows.

I have a monitoring program which records all keystrokes entered by the client. (This is a comercial app aimed at K-12 education). I don't want to capture keystrokes when the client (student) is entering a password. From the Hook Proc, I thought I could get a handle to the window with the focus, get his styles and look for the ES_PASSWORD style. However, since my Hook Proc is not in the same thread (or even desktop) as the window which has the focus, the call to GetFocus() always returns a NULL. {       HWND             hFocus = GetFocus();       DWORD             dwStyle = (DWORD)GetWindowLong(hFocus, GWL_STYLE);       if ((dwStyle & ES_PASSWORD) == ES_PASSWORD)             // password - don't capture...       else             // capture this keystroke Does anyone know a better way to detect a password style window from a LowLevelKeyboardProc?

I am creating a database that will be split and used by multiple users. I know how to program in Access but just recently saw talk of ADO, DAO, opening objects, closing objects, etc. I don't know what any of these things are? Am I missing something major? Can someone please give me an overview of what these terms are and what they are for? Does every database need them? If so, I guess I'm in trouble. Thanks.
